If you were to walk around your home taking note of the different light fixtures, it is likely that you will come across at least one table lamp, even if it is shoved in a corner of that formal living room that no one uses anymore. The uses of these sorts of fixtures are boundless, but many homeowners make the mistake of purchasing lamps that are far too big for the space. This poses the question of whether bigger really is better.

Size really does matter when it comes to buying a table lamp for use in your home. A lamp that is quite large, for example, is going to look very out of place in a tiny study nook and one that is quite small is going to be dwarfed by the other pieces in the room when fitting out a large lounge.
